Serena Okonjo-Blaine to keynote the Southern Africa Payments Forum

Halvard Trust is pleased to announce that our Head of Treasury, Serena Okonjo-Blaine, will deliver the opening keynote on the second day of the Southern Africa Payments Forum.

Serena's session, "Settlement risk in a real-time world", takes place on 17 September 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. She will be flying down on the 16th and returning to Johannesburg on the 19th.

Serena said: "Real-time clearing has removed the buffer that operations teams have quietly relied on for thirty years. That is a control problem before it is a technology problem."
